MGIR is dictation for your Mac: press a shortcut, speak, and MGIR pastes your words where your cursor is.

How it works

  1. Press Control + Space to start. You can change the shortcut in Settings.
  2. Speak.
  3. Press Control + Space again to stop. MGIR pastes your words where your cursor is.

About MGIR

Runs on
Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or newer), macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
Where it lives
The menu bar at the top of your screen. It has no Dock icon.
Transcription
In the cloud, or on your Mac with the On This Mac engine.
Availability
MGIR is in private testing and isn’t on sale yet. When it goes on sale, it will be a monthly subscription for customers in the United States only.
